Dublin family plans to pay off mortgages after collecting €3.5m Lotto jackpot from January

A large Dublin family syndicate has kicked off the bank holiday weekend in style after collecting their life-changing Lotto jackpot prize worth €3,519,138 today.

The family, who wish to keep their win private, won the jackpot on Saturday, January 21 with a ticket they purchased at the Mace store in Kilbarrack shopping centre. At the time of the win, staff at the Mace Store said they were "ecstatic" and wished the winners the best of luck.

The clan are mostly going to use their winnings to pay off bills and mortgages but they also plan to share their prize even further with other family members as well as plans to make donations to charity groups which are close to their heart.

Meanwhile, another Dublin man was celebrating at Lotto HQ today after he won the €300,000 top prize on the €15 All Cash Gift scratch card. The Dubliner, who also wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his ticket at the Day Today News store on Main Street in Rush.
