A speeding Dublin driver caught speeding had his car seized for the second after officers found he had no tax or insurance.
The motorist, who was doing 103km in an 80km zone, attempted to give gardai an excuse for the lack of discs.
The man, who was behind the wheel of an Audi, told cops that he had only "picked up the car today", Dublin Live reports.
But after completing background checks, the Swords Roads Policing Unit found "he had the car seized off him in December 2018 for no insurance and drink driving".
