Dublin Airport passenger assault sparks garda investigation

An alleged assault at Dublin Airport involving a passenger has sparked a garda investigation.

Gardai were alerted to the incident that happened at around 6.15pm on April 25.

It is alleged that a passenger was attacked by a member of a third-party company operating at the airport during the altercation.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardai are investigating an assault that occurred at approximately 6:15pm, April 25, 2022 at Dublin Airport. No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the daa said: "We never comment on security matters for obvious reasons or on matters concerning employees of other companies which operate at Dublin Airport.

"Any comment in relation to any alleged incident at Dublin Airport involving staff or passengers could be prejudicial in any subsequent court case either criminal or civil. The due process of law must be adhered to."
