Dublin Airport jobs: Aer Lingus hiring baggage handlers with a decent hourly rate

Aer Lingus is hiring baggage handlers at its Dublin Airport base.

The airline is currently advertising a range of fixed term and permanent contracts for its ground operations department at the airport. Duties include sorting, tracking and transporting luggage to and from the aircraft.

A full drivers license is preferred and candidates will need to pass a five year security check in order to work at the airport, as well as undergoing Garda vetting. Workers must also have a fairly flexible schedule, as shifts are rostered across a 24 hour period.

Perks of the positions include a 32 day holiday entitlement and overtime pay. The airline also offers workers free airport parking and discounted travel to both Europe and North America.

The hourly rate of pay currently stands at €15.50 but will rise to €15.81 from the beginning of July, in line with shift allowance. The work itself is described as physically demanding and staff must follow relevant health and safety protocols.

Full training will be provided following the recruitment process. To apply for one of the positions, visit Indeed or email fiona@templerecruitment.ie.
