TIRUPATI: A Dubai based devotee has donated Rs 1 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams at Tirumala on Friday. The devotee identified as M Hanumanta Kumar works as a Chartered accountant at Dubai.
After having the darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the hill temple, the devotee handed over his donation to TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy in the form of a demand draft and appealed to the TTD to utilize the donation to fund the activities of any trust operated by the TTD.
A Secunderabad based devotee identified as Sridhar also donated Rs 10 lakh to Sri Venkateswara Go-Samrakshana trust at Tirumala on Friday.
Meanwhile, TTD chairman inspected various pilgrim congregation points at Tirumala and interacted with the devotees and sought their feedback on various pilgrim amenities being provided by the TTD.
Following suggestions from the devotees, YV Subba Reddy asked the reception department officials to reduce the waiting time for the devotees in the queue lines who come to avail accommodation facilities at Tirumala.
Health officer Dr Sridevi, vigilance and security officer Bali Reddy and other officials were present.
