Dua Lipa has opened up about her engagement to actor Callum Turner, admitting she is “happier than ever.”
The pop superstar, 29, and 34-year-old actor Turner - who were both born in London - first began dating in January 2024, and sparked engagement rumours last Christmas when Lipa shared a festive Instagram carousel in which fans spotted a diamond ring on her finger. She went on to confirm the engagement in June this year and is now ready to shout about her love from the rooftops.
“I’m happier than ever, so it feels like I’m doing a disservice by not talking about it,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK. “When you’re a public figure, anything that’s very personal is very vulnerable. It’s not like I don’t want to share it.”
The interview appears in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, part of the magazine’s global ICONS edition, which also features Kate Moss, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Karina across 21 international editions.

“I love love,” Lipa continued. “It is a beautiful thing. It’s really inspiring. You find yourself intensely falling all the time, in the best way possible,” the Houdini hit-maker added.
Speaking earlier this summer, Lipa revealed that Turner had the ring specially made for her after consulting with her sister and best friends. “We’re just enjoying this period,” she said. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’” She added: “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
Professionally, Lipa is in the midst of a milestone year. Her third album Radical Optimism topped charts worldwide, while her acting debut in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster Barbie cemented her status as one of pop culture’s most bankable stars.
Turner has built an impressive career of his own, appearing in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and more recently Apple TV+’s World War II drama Masters of the Air. He is currently filming sci-fi series Neuromancer, adapted from William Gibson’s classic 1984 novel.
The only downside of their packed schedules is that the couple have yet to set a wedding date.
The October issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK is on sale from September 4.
