Dua Lipa has branched out into beauty by launching her own three-step skincare line.
The pop star has revealed she spent years struggling with "breakouts" and "dryness" due to her gruelling work and travel schedule and she's now teamed up with skincare guru Augustinus Bader to create her own brand called Dua because she wanted to put together a routine that isn't "high maintenance".
She told British Vogue: "In 2016, I started touring quite heavily and I needed a skincare routine that wasn’t high maintenance ...
"I wanted to create something that felt like it could really restore and protect my skin. I get the occasional breakouts and dryness, especially from long-haul flight. I did a lot of learning on the job and now I feel like I know how to combat the busyness and the madness of my schedule and still take care of myself."
The Dua line consists of three products - the Balancing Cream Cleanser, the Supercharged Glow Complex serum and the Renewal Cream moisturiser - and the singer insists that's all there needs to be.
She added: "A three-step skincare line feels really manageable and not so daunting. It’s easy to take with you, wherever you go, and it’s powerful.
"Three is a kind of magic number."
The products were created in conjunction with the luxury beauty brand and Augustinus Bader's cofounder and chief executive officer Charles Rosier told WWD creating a line with Dua was the perfect fit as they're aimed at younger customers.
He said: "She inspires a lot of people, and that age bracket is very complementary to our existing customer.
"This was an opportunity to talk to another community and engage with them, and the products have been made for slightly younger skin, and they're slightly more affordable."
He added: "We're bringing the best of both worlds. She inspires by her positive energy, dynamic life and her vision as chief creative officer for the colors of the packaging and texture of the product. We brought the science."
Dua added in a statement posted on the brand's website: "I wanted a routine that was simple but powerful – and it had to be built on real science.
"For me, it’s three essentials: a deep but gentle cleanse, a complex that boosts elasticity and radiance, and a moisturizer for lasting hydration and smoother, stronger skin ... It’s everything I need, wherever I am."
The cleanser retails for £36 while the serum and the moisturiser are priced at £65 each.
