Dua Lipa and George Clooney’s chemistry revealed in new behind-the-scenes images from Nespresso ad

Dua Lipa and George Clooney have teamed up for a new Nespresso campaign, with behind-the-scenes images offering a glimpse of their on-set dynamic.

Clooney, who has fronted the coffee brand for two decades, shares the spotlight with the British pop star, who has signed a major deal as its latest ambassador.

The advert marks their first on-screen appearance together, with Lipa taking the lead role.

In the campaign, Lipa is seen lounging by a villa pool, floating on an inflatable lilo, when Clooney drifts into view beside her — dressed in a suit.

As he begins to deliver his signature “what else?” line, she interrupts, before a parrot cuts him off entirely.

Confused, the New Rules hitmaker turns and says, “George?” and when he begins saying his famous phrase, trying to take back the spotlight from the singer, a parrot interrupts him.

The playful exchange continues in the final scene, where Lipa reprises the line in-store, prompting a mock protest from Clooney: “That is my line!”

Off camera, newly released images show the pair chatting between takes and reviewing something on her phone together, suggesting an easy rapport during filming.

Nespresso’s chief marketing officer, Lorenzo Aizpuru, said Lipa’s appeal extended beyond music, citing her Service95 platform and wider cultural influence as key factors in the collaboration.

A spokesperson added that Clooney “continues to collaborate with us and will appear in future brand activities”, noting that while the campaign centres on Lipa, his “long-standing relationship and contributions remain essential to Nespresso.”

Meanwhile, Lipa said the partnership felt like a natural fit.

She shared: “I feel like I have grown up with Nespresso. There's always been a Nespresso machine nearby - at home with my family, on set, or in a hotel room - so teaming up with them was a really easy decision.

“I just love how they are always exploring new flavours and finding ways to evolve as a brand. Working together has already been loads of fun, and it's just the beginning.”

To mark the launch, Nespresso is hosting a pop-up immersive experience, The Recipe Remix, in Covent Garden Piazza until Sunday, April 19 from 11am-6pm daily.

There you will be offered limited-edition coffee creations inspired by Lipa’s tastes, including unconventional combinations such as Marmite and avocado toast lattes and sea salt and olive oil affogato.

The Vertuo World recipes are also available in most boutiques, excluding Battersea Power Station, White City and Nottingham.
