Two drug dealers were caught with ‘bricks’ of cannabis resin hidden under a car seat.
Mohammed Butt and Adam Miah, both 21, and Patrick Neokli, 19, came to the attention of the police on September 6 this year after their car smelt strongly of cannabis.
Miah was in the driver’s seat, Butt was in the passenger seat and Neokli was in the rear, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

As officers approached, Neokli ran and was apprehended, and found in possession of wraps of cocaine and heroin.
He has since pleaded guilty to possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and will be sentenced at a later date.
Miah and Butt, both of Trafford, were searched as was the car, prosecutor Lisa Boocock said.
“The defendant Miah was found to have £938 in cash, as well as a burner phone,” she said.
“Underneath Butt’s seat in a drawer were three bricks of cannabis resin, measuring 100 grams each.
“In total there were 58 separate wraps of cannabis ranging from one gram to three gram deals.”
The three bricks of cannabis were said to be worth £1,425, and the wraps were said to be a street value of between £742 and £842.
Butt was said to have previous convictions for robbery and driving offences, and Miah was said to have no previous convictions on his record.
Mitigating on behalf of Miah, Saul Brody said his client had a realistic prospect of rehabilitation.
“He became involved due to the area he lives in and the people he was associated with,” he said.
“He was, at the time, living with his father and 18-year-old brother at an address in Old Trafford.
“He was dealing cannabis partly because of his own use of cannabis.
“He was susceptible to peer influence and was motivated by money.”
Acting on behalf of Butt, Patrick Buckley adopted similar mitigation for his client.
Sentencing, Recorder Tim Hannam QC said: “Cannabis and cannabis resin is a gateway drug and can lead to a string of mental health problems for many of those who take it.
“You dealt cannabis as you saw it as an easy way to make money.”
Butt, of Kingsbrook Road, and Miah, of Alphonsus Street, were both handed 16 months custody which was suspended for two years, 25 days of rehabilitation activity requirements, 250 hours unpaid work and a three month electronically monitored curfew between 7pm and 7am.
Patrick Neokli will be sentenced on January 14 2022.
