Drone footage shows the extent of a large blaze ripping through a building in North Shields.
The video captured by Ian Sproat shows the roof of a derelict building at the Fish Quay, in North Shields, on fire and flames engulfing the building.
Thick black smoke filled the air and can be seen from miles around, with residents in Whitley Bay and South Shields reportedly being able to see the smoke.

Fire crews were called to Brew House Bank at around 4pm on Friday, with five appliances and an aerial ladder in attendance.
A Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 3.58pm to reports of a fire on Brew House Bank.
"We have five appliances and an aerial ladder in attendance."
Crews from Byker, Wallsend and South Shields are among those at the scene.
Northumbria Police officers are also in attendance with a large cordon in place around the fire, with a number of bystanders also watching the incident unfold.
