A theory test expert has provided an explanation of a common road sign that many people have admitted to never fully understanding - "no return within one hour".
Annie, who has more than 776,000 followers on account @theorytestpractice, shared the explanation on TikTok. And the video clip has clocked a whopping 644,000 views.
She said: "I've been asked to explain signs like this one. This sign is saying that between Monday and Saturday, you can park between 8 o'clock in the morning and 6 o'clock at night, but only for one hour.

"No return within one hour - that simply means that you're not allowed to drive out of your parking space, drive around the block, and go straight back into that parking space. Well, not for an hour anyway," she added.
In the post's caption, she clarified the road rule, saying: "At other times you can park for as long as you want to." Taking to the comments, several TikTok users praised Annie for sharing the insightful information as some admitted to never knowing the rule, reports The Mirror.

One user admitted: "I never got the no return within one hour! Thanks for that!" A second joked: "I always thought no return within 1 hour meant, you're not allowed to come back to the car for at least an hour lol."
Another user wrote: "I always thought it meant you couldn't leave for one hour after parking." "I've always wondered with these," another admitted.
