Police, specialist divers and a helicopter will return to a river in northern Tasmania to search for a 14-year-old girl missing for more than a week.

Shyanne-Lee Tatnell was last seen near the North Esk River in Launceston about 8.30pm on April 30.

Investigators have renewed calls for anyone in the vicinity at the time, including drivers, to come forward.

Tasmania Police on Wednesday released CCTV of several cars in the hope it could prompt someone’s memory.

“These drivers could be potential witnesses of Shyanne-Lee’s last known movements, whether they think they saw anything or not,” Tasmania Police inspector Craig Fox said.

“One small piece of information could be all we need to locate her.”

Police have said there is nothing to indicate Shyanne-Lee’s disappearance was suspicious.

Police returned to the river on Wednesday to search, with specialist search and rescue officers, a dive squad and helicopter to be deployed on Thursday.

Shyanne-Lee is described as about 160cm tall, with a slim build and blond hair.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a cream-coloured hooded jumper with dark coloured writing on the chest and shoulder area and bike shorts.

Shyanne-Lee hasn’t contacted family, made financial transactions or been active on social media since she was last seen.

Divers and boats combed the river last week with no success.
