Driver's rude note he leaves on car to dodge parking ticket splits opinions

A driver has shared a controversial method he uses to avoid being slapped with a parking ticket.

After receiving a penalty for not paying for parking, one social media user returned to the same indoor car park with his driver friend - who also didn't want to fork out the fee.

In a TikTok video, Brit Cayle Talks said his pal decided to leave a rather rude note on the vehicle, hoping it would deter any traffic wardens who may want to punish the pair. But the tip has divided opinions, with some explaining why it might not work.

To test out his sneaky plan, Cayle visited a car park with a pal from out of town, who also decided to leave his car without paying for parking. Instead of buying a ticket, the pair went to see a movie.

As reported by the Mirror, Cayle said in the clip shared to his @cayletalks account: "Guys take a look at this, we're in the car park where I got a ticket last time I parked here.

"Except this time I'm not the driver, my friend from Florida is and what are they gonna do send a ticket to Florida? So he doesn't even wanna pay for parking but he's leaving them a note, check this."

The camera then shows the note, which reads: "If you give me a ticket, you're a c***."

He then asks his followers: "Did you think we were gonna be good? And just so you know he's parked just perfectly as well. But now we're off to the cinema so there is that, see you in a bit."

In the comments he later confirmed the pair did not receive a ticket. And while some congratulated his nerve, dubbing him a "legend" others said they may not have actually got away with it yet.

One commenter said: "If he's in a rental car I think the rental company will charge your CC and add fees on top."

Another added: "They'll charge the hire company who will then pass on the fine plus admin charge to him, they have all his details."

What do you think of this motorist's brazen tactic? Let us know in the comments.
