A driver on Princess Road, Fallowfield, cut in front of a marked police car in the early hours of this morning and almost caused a collision.
The driver stated he didn’t see police vehicle XT58, as he was really tired.
Greater Manchester Police Traffic Officers for Fallowfield reported the driver and advised them to take a break.
Driving when tired can be extremely dangerous. Motorists' reaction time is slowed, and coordination and judgement is affected. Studies have shown that lack of sleep can have the same effect on a driver as alcohol.
