A man wanted over a fatal hit-and-run crash in Adelaide is in custody after handing himself in to police.
The 22-year-old had been sought by police since the crash on Tuesday night at suburban Morphett Vale which claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.
He presented at the Christies Beach Police Station early on Friday morning where he was arrested.
He is expected to be charged with manslaughter and causing death by dangerous driving, has been refused police bail and will appear in court on Monday.
Previously, a 19-year-old passenger in one of the cars involved in the crash was arrested and charged with manslaughter, causing death by dangerous driving and impeding an investigation.
On Tuesday night a Ford sedan and a white Toyota Hilux collided, with a 20-year-old passenger in the Toyota dying at the scene.
The 22-year-old driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The Ford failed to stop and was later found burnt-out in a gully off the Southern Expressway at nearby Reynella.
The crash came after SA was placed in a full lockdown because of an outbreak of COVID-19.
Tuesday night's death took the SA road toll to 58 compared with 52 at the same time last year.
