Police were out in force clamping down on speeding drivers across Edinburgh.
Road police officers carried out speed checks across "various parts of the city" on Thursday morning.
One driver was stopped for speeding, only for police to allegedly discover that they were in possession of cannabis.
The motorist was disqualified from driving and is due to appear in court after being arrested.
A statement from the unit on Twitter said: "Edinburgh Road Police officers carried out speed enforcement in various parts of the city this morning.
"One driver was stopped during our #EdinburghSpeedFocusCampaign for exceeding the speed limit, was disqualified and was in possession of cannabis. Driver arrested and held for court."
Last month, a total of ten drivers were stopped in Corstorphine when police carried out speed checks.
Police have also launched a campaign which aims to catch the thousands of uninsured drivers on roads across Scotland.
