Draymond Green Ejected Early In Warriors Vs. Magic Matchup

Draymond Green

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected early in Wednesday night's game against the Orlando Magic. The incident occurred less than four minutes into the first quarter.

Green's ejection stemmed from his interactions with official Ray Acosta. After receiving his first personal foul, Green engaged in verbal exchanges with Acosta. Following a subsequent foul call on Stephen Curry, Green approached Acosta again, resulting in a technical foul. Despite the warning, Green continued to argue, leading to a second technical foul and his ejection from the game at the 8:24 mark of the first quarter.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr expressed his dissatisfaction with the referees as Green exited the court. Meanwhile, Curry displayed his frustration during the ensuing timeout.

This ejection marked Green's fourth of the season, setting a career high for the player. Notably, Green is the first player to be ejected at least four times in a season since Kevin Durant in the 2017-18 season, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.

Furthermore, this incident marked the second time this season that Green was ejected in the first quarter. ESPN Stats & Info data reveals that Green is the only player in the past two decades to have multiple first-quarter ejections in a single season.
