Draymond Green addresses his ejection in latest podcast episode

Draymond Green received his fourth ejection of the season as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Orlando Magic on Wednesday (March 27). The veteran forward was handed two technical fouls after an altercation with game official Ray Acosta. The altercation occurred during the opening minutes of the contest, leaving the Warriors short-handed for the majority of the game.

Green has now addressed his latest ejection. He shared his opinion during a recent episode of his “The Draymond Green Show” podcast. He accepted that his actions were unacceptable and that he needed to continue working to do better.

“It just can’t happen,” Green said. “I said what I said. I deserved to be kicked out at that point. If I’m all the way honest with y’all, kind of was trying to turn my body and angle it to go to the bench, but I said what I said a little too soon before angling my body. … But, yeah, it just can’t happen.”

Green has served two separate suspensions this season. The Warriors need him on the court if they’re going to stand a chance of securing their spot in the play-in tournament. The Houston Rockets are breathing down the Warriors next for the 10th seed.

Warriors fans will now be hoping that Green’s latest ejection will be enough to remind him that he’s walking a fine line, and that his presence within Golden State’s rotation is integral to the franchise’s chances of success.
