Four cars went up in flames at a large retail park in Blackwood, sending up clouds of thick black smoke and attracting onlookers.
A number of people stood and watched as flames leapt into the sky from the intense fire.
One witness said the blaze was large but was put out quickly by the fire service.
There are a number of businesses at the retail park.
The fire was put out at around 3.32pm.
A spokesman for South Wales Fire Service, said: "At approximately 2:31pm on Thursday, 2nd of July, 2020, we received reports of a fire involving four vehicles at Blackwood Gate Retail Park.
"Crews from Caerphilly and Aberbargoed attended the scene and extinguished the fire."
Gwent Police also went to the retail park to offer assistance to the fire service.
