Drag Race UK: Lawrence Chaney tops iTunes charts with first single

It's been quite the start to the year for Glasgow drag queen Lawrence Chaney.

As well as being a standout star of the second series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, she has also just scored her first number-one single.

Lawrence took home a third RuPeter badge after winning the show's very own Eurovision-style song contest with group The United Kingdolls on Thursday night's show.

We told how Lawrence overcame his singing and dancing nerves to deliver a memorable performance in the challenge and managed to name-drop Glasgow in the process.

Spitting bars, she rapped: "Dancing to a Highland jig, Lawrence Chaney's up in this gig.

"From Helensburgh to Edinburgh, everywhere I go I’m snatching wigs. I made my name in Glasgow city, can’t sing or dance but I’m still witty. Me and my dolls are on a mission, gonna take this crown for RuRuvision."

*Cue mic drop*

If we weren't convinced that Lawrence is the whole package, we are now.

Teammates Bimini Bom-Boulash, A'Whora and Tayce served up their own verses that were so sickening, the song has made it to the top of the iTunes charts.

Since the show aired at 7pm last night, their song 'UK, Hun?' has become the most downloaded song in the country on iTunes.

Taking to Twitter, Lawrence said: "Me after finding out that a song I’m in is Number 1 in the charts!" and shared a picture of a wigless James Charles.

A'Whora added: "WE ARE NUMBER 1 WTF!!!! I love you all so much and my girls who made this happen, omg."

Congratulations queens. If anyone needs us we'll be listening to the 'UK, Hun?' on repeat for the rest of the day. And that's the bing-bang-bong...
