Dr. Steven Ghareeb works with a blend of technical precision and community-minded intent. His expertise spans a broad range of contemporary dental care, from reconstructive and aesthetic planning to surgical and restorative procedures, delivered both through his own practice and as part of Ghareeb Dental Group, a family-led network of offices serving West Virginia. Beyond clinical pursuits, his broader mission is to widen access to care, nurturing initiatives that bring dental services to those who might otherwise go without.
This balance between skill and service is rooted in a personal journey that began long before his professional career. Dr. Ghareeb recalls a childhood certainty about becoming a dentist. "I watched my dad genuinely enjoy his work and make a meaningful difference in people's lives, and that made a deep impression on me," he shares. "I wanted a career that allowed me to have that same impact, so I committed to the dental track early and stayed focused." It was during that formative period that he met his wife, Shayna, who was studying dental hygiene. Their shared connection to oral health would become a central feature of family life.

Dental school introduced challenges that also opened directions. Early on, Dr. Ghareeb found himself handling complex, multifaceted cases that required more than routine fixes. Those experiences nudged him toward a practice that emphasizes comprehensive planning, where cosmetic considerations and implant work are integrated from the start.
A graduate of the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, he sought out advanced training with professors and mentors whose perspectives expanded his technical vocabulary and refined his sense of treatment design. Intensive postgraduate study, participation in specialized academies, and ongoing coursework became the means by which he shortened the usual experience curve and developed an approach that combines surgical capability with restorative artistry. Today, he also serves as president of the West Virginia Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), a role that reflects his commitment to advancing the profession and supporting fellow practitioners.
After initial years of practice, an opportunity to purchase a small office offered a place to translate these ideas into daily care. That decision grew into a practice where a personalized ethos guides how teams organize and how patients are welcomed. An on-site laboratory is one practical expression of that model. "When we keep key steps in the same workspace, it lets us make adjustments quickly and shape prosthetic work with close attention to each patient's needs," he explains.
His practice favors treatments that are planned holistically, combining implants, prosthetic design, cosmetic refinements, and alignment techniques when those elements serve a cohesive outcome. The goal is to go beyond isolated procedures and design results that address a person's overall dental health and aesthetic goals together.
That same commitment to comprehensive treatment extends to how he interacts with patients. Cultivating a positive environment where respect, clear explanations, and patient education are routine, he frames care as a conversation. He states, "I listen closely to a patient's concerns and help them understand the choices available."
Philanthropy has been an ongoing thread in Dr. Ghareeb's work. Inspired in part by what he observed in his own family, he has supported efforts that bring no-cost dental services to people in need, working with teams that serve those with limited resources and those affected by hardship. Those efforts have included lending clinical time, organizing clinics, and supporting programs beyond local borders, motivated by the belief that professional skills can be used to ease immediate needs and to restore dignity.
At home, family life remains a central source of balance and perspective. Dr. Ghareeb and his wife have built a life in which travel, shared curiosity, and active parenting play important roles. "My career has given me purpose and fulfillment, but the greatest pride I feel comes from being a husband and a parent," he remarks. "Family shapes how I spend my time, set priorities, and think about the legacy I want to leave."
Dr. Steven Ghareeb intends to remain attentive to the evolving landscape of dentistry while maintaining the human dimensions of care. Training and technology will continue to matter, he believes, but what endures is the purpose behind them. "Skills and equipment change," he says, "but the purpose remains to help patients feel more comfortable, healthy, and confident."
