A fan-favorite Dr Pepper flavor is bubbling back onto shelves just in time for summer.
Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut, along with a Zero Sugar version, has returned to stores nationwide, giving customers another chance to sip on the tropical-inspired treat after its debut in summer 2024. But like a cold soda on a hot day, it won’t last forever. This limited-time release is only sticking around through July 31 at major retailers like Walmart, Amazon, Target and Kroger.
The flavor, sold in 12-ounce 12-packs, blends Dr Pepper’s 23-flavor formula with a coconut twist, creating a smooth, almost dessert-like, taste. It also features familiar notes like caramel, vanilla and spice. Despite its name, the drink does not contain actual cream but is designed to mimic a creamy texture.
When it first debuted, the creamy coconut flavor quickly built a loyal following, thanks in part to the viral “dirty soda” trend, where people mix soda with cream or flavored syrups for a richer, sweeter drink.
A 12-pack of the limited-time sodas will retail for $11.99, according to USA Today.
In February, Keurig Dr Pepper, the soda maker’s parent company, announced it is rolling out more than 35 new and returning drinks across its portfolio this year, including soda, tea, water and energy drinks.
Among them is Snapple’s Two Hundred Fif-TEA Party, a raspberry tea and lemonade blend celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a berry-citrus kick.
Meanwhile, 7UP is set to bring back its Shirley Temple-inspired soda for the holiday season, mixing pomegranate with its classic lemon-lime base for a crisp, nostalgic sip.
A&W Root Beer is jumping into the summer lineup with a limited-time Root Beer Float flavor starting in July, offering a creamy, vanilla-forward take on the classic treat, but no ice cream scoop required.
