Dr Hilary Jones has blasted Donald Trump over his "worrying" comments fearing a "catastrophe" could hit the United States.
Just yesterday, the US president has suggested that new potential vaccines are looked into for COVID-19 including UV light and disinfectant injections.
On Thursday, Trump bizarrely implied that ultraviolet rays or injecting disinfectant could be possible treatments for the virus which is a global pandemic.
Good Morning Britain hosts Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins discussed the comments with Dr Hilary on the show this morning.
But the doctor was quick to disagree with Trump and called his claims "worrying", visibly unable to believe what he had heard.
Speaking on GMB, Hilary warned of the consequences facing the US as cases and death tolls continue to rise worldwide, amid many refusing to stick by lockdown rules.
He also explained why the two options of vaccines would not work an d could potentially be very dangerous.
Hilary told Ben and Charlotte on any benefits: "None whatsoever, you know I’ve heard some crazy things in my life, but this is probably one of the craziest.
"To use a disinfectant and inject it into the human body is not only toxic, and highly poisonous, but would do no good whatsoever.
"It would cause inflammation of human tissues and not touch the virus at all, which actually lives in human cells and not on th surface of them.
"So he's completely and utterly crazy to even suggest this."
