Doug Pederson hints at giving Jordan Howard more carries as the Eagles top RB

Jordan Howard has gone from a guy being mentioned in trade talks before the season opener to giving the Eagles new hope and excitement as the rough part of the schedule heats up. Howard and Miles Sanders have split carries through the first five weeks of the season, with Sanders getting the start in most games.

That could be about to change.

While a guest on 94WIP’s morning show, Pederson hinted at the Eagles giving Howard more carries and more responsibility.

Pederson reiterated that stance moments ago during the Monday press conference.

Sanders has taken more snaps on the season, but it’s Howard who has been running better than the rookie and has seemingly carried the Eagles over the past two weeks. Against the Jets, Howard ran the ball 13 times, gaining 62 yards and scoring a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter.
