A double decker bus ploughed into a residential property in Birmingham this morning after the driver died at the wheel.
It's thought the driver suffered a medical episode while driving along Wolverhampton Road in Oldbury at around 7.45am this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene, with people in the area seeing police, firefighters and paramedics rush to the scene, Birmingham Mail reports.
Shocked onlookers described seeing the bus crash into the front garden of a property on the stretch of road between Birchley Island and Titford Road.
No passengers were onboard the large vehicle at the time of the crash and no other injuries have been reported.
Police closed the road while they carried out their investigations and it later reopened just before 1pm today.
Following the collision, National Express West Midlands said bus service 126 will divert both ways via Birchley Island, Churchbridge, Park Street, Merrivale Island, and Wolverhampton Road. Two stops on Wolverhampton Road will not be served.
Pictures emerged online of a damaged BMW and a Fiat Panda also at the scene.
The BMW, which is mounted on the pavement, suffered severe front end damage.
West Midlands Police confirmed the driver of the double decker had tragically died earlier today.
A police spokesman said: "A bus driver has died after suffering a medical episode in Oldbury this morning (15 October).
"The bus collided with a wall at the junction of Titford Road and Wolverhampton Road at around 7.40am.
"There were no passengers on the bus and no one else has been injured. Road closures are in place which will be lifted in due course.
"Our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man."
Videos on social media at around 8am this morning showed the speedy response, including ambulances and two fire engines, at the scene.
A number of West Midlands police were also pictured at the scene.
