Leeds United's minority shareholders the San Francisco 49ers could potentially be turning out at Wembley next season, after the NFL made their first International Series announcements for the 2023 season.
Three NFL matches will take place in London next season, while Germany will host a further two regular season games, with the door open for the Super Bowl-chasing 49ers to feature at Wembley.
The Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars are the three designated 'home' teams playing in London next season, with the Bills and Titans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while the Jaguars will again feature at Wembley.

The 49ers are scheduled to play an away game against the Jaguars next season, and the dates and fixtures will be confirmed at a later date, meaning a return to UK - ahead of their expected takeover of Leeds United - could be on the cards later this year. The 49ers took on the Jaguars at Wembley in 2013, easing to a 42-10 victory
In addition to their investment at Elland Road via 49ers Enterprises in recent years, the Californian outfit have international marketing agreement in place with the NFL, meaning they have been granted access to the UK market in order to grow themselves, and the league on these shores.
Andrea Radrizzani remains the majority shareholder at Leeds United, but last year saw reports emerge that a full takeover by 49ers Enterprises is being lined up ahead of a January 2024 deadline, with The TImes reporting before Christmas that 49ers Enterprises had secured the funds needed to complete a takeover and that a deal could be completed at the end of the current Premier League season.
