Donovan McNabb says the Eagles should go to the Super Bowl if this happens

Former Eagles great Donovan McNabb is back in town for his Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame induction, and the man that will soon have all his records broken by Carson Wentz gave his opinion on the state of the Birds. While sitting down with Jeff Skversky of ABC6, McNabb said the Eagles should reach the Super Bowl as long as they protect Carson Wentz and keep him healthy.

“I think that offensive line has to gel-like they were a couple years ago and take the pressure off of Carson,” McNabb said.

McNabb referenced this season being one where Wentz continues to gain confidence mentally but made it clear that Wentz is the engine that makes things go when it comes to the Eagles. For Wentz, this is a season where he can continue to climb on his upward trajectory to superstardom. Wentz is the only quarterback in NFL history to complete 64 percent of his passes with at least 70 touchdowns and fewer than 30 interceptions in his first three seasons.
