Donna Kelce is buzzing about her son Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift — but she can’t say too much about it yet.
The mother of the groom, 74, was asked Saturday at Macy’s 50th Fourth of July Celebration in New York City to share details about the A-list wedding at Madison Square Garden the night before.
Donna was tight lipped about the nuptials, but shared a one-word description of the glamorous evening.
“I really can't say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man, magical,” Donna said in an interview shared to Macy’s Instagram page Sunday.
The matriarch — who said earlier this year that she had not signed a non-disclosure agreement about the wedding because “they know I can keep a secret” — was seen arriving in New York City Thursday ahead of Travis and Swift’s rehearsal dinner.
The event has been shrouded in secrecy, from the security presence at MSG rivaling that of a presidential visit to the NDAs that invitees were asked to sign when RSVPing to the ceremony.
However, some details about the celebration have slipped through the cracks. AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron said in a since-deleted post that MSG was transformed with peach and white drapes, adding: “Somehow magically, someone created an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat. Everything draped off this time in green and white. Real flowers and I think artificial trees welcomed fifteen rows of maybe 75 or so chairs. They say there were around one thousand attendees, but surprisingly, it all felt intimate and small.”
While pictures from the party have not been officially shared, other facts about the lavish ceremony have been confirmed by Swift’s representatives.
The global superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, said “I do” wearing outfits designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture, Swift’s rep confirmed in a statement to The Independent.
“The bride and groom's wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women's, Men's and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom,” her rep said in a statement. “This is the designer's first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”
Neither Travis nor Swift had groomsmen nor bridesmaids, respectively, but Travis’s older brother, Jason, was his best man, while Swift’s younger brother, Austin, served as her “man of honor.”
More than a thousand guests attended the star-studded ceremony July 3 for the festivities, including celebrities like Tom Brady, Gigi Hadid, Hugh Grant, Zoë Kravitz and Lena Dunham.
The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler, who worked with Kelce on Happy Gilmore 2 and has been a longtime fan of Swift alongside his two daughters.
After Sandler pronounced the pair husband and wife Friday, jumbotrons outside the arena shared the news with crowds of fans by saying: "JUST&T MARRIED!"
