Donkeys at Dalscone Farm Fun in Dumfries become online stars after going viral

A herd of Dumfries donkeys are among the online stars at a popular family attraction in the town.

Dalscone Farm Fun has been offering live streams and Facebook videos of their animals throughout the pandemic, which have racked up millions of views across the world.

Some of the most watched involve donkeys including Pumpkin, who was born last October, and Winston.

Park manager, Ben Best, said: “We started the videos in lockdown last year with a small following at the start.

“People were intrigued with the animal births and how we looked after them and it progressed from there.

“We average about 20,000 views per video now. Our highest viewed video is Pumkin the donkey doing a rolly poly and that has nine million views.

“Rio, who is Pumpkin’s mum, is heading towards five million. It’s been a real success.”
