Donald Trump will host Saturday Night Live for a second time, NBC announced on Tuesday. The episode, airing on 7 November, comes almost exactly a year before election day, which will fall on 8 November 2016.

The Republican presidential frontrunner and real estate magnate last hosted the late-night sketch series in April 2004, back when he was popular for hosting his now-defunct NBC reality series, The Apprentice.

In June, NBC said in a statement that they were severing ties with Trump following his “derogatory” comments about immigrants when he announced his presidential campaign. They cut the Trump-produced Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, and excluded him as host from The Celebrity Apprentice.

His upcoming Saturday Night Live appearance is not the first time the network has gone against its word on the Republican candidate: Trump appeared on the 11 September episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, giving the late night program its highest Friday ratings in 18 months.

On Saturday Night Live’s recent season premiere, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton appeared in a sketch as a bartender, opposite cast member Kate McKinnon, who impersonated the American politician.

The episode’s musical guest on 7 November will be Sia, who will also be making her second appearance on the show.
