Donald Trump Jr says his father cannot be racist because he let him hang out with Michael Jackson

Donald Trump Jr has said his father cannot be racist because he let him play video games with Michael Jackson when he was a child.

The US president's eldest son said he would spend time with the "King of Pop" in New York's Trump Tower where Jackson had an apartment.

His father, who has repeatedly called Mexican immigrants criminals and racists, told members of the US Congress to "leave the country" and implemented a ban on travel from seven Muslim countries, has repeatedly denied he is racist.

His son has backed him up in his new book Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us in which he claims the Trump family would "vacation with a black man".

It states: “Given all the things my father has been called, particularly a ‘racist,’ it sure sounds odd that he’d let his son vacation with a black man or hang out with Michael Jackson, doesn’t it?”

“If he’s a racist, he’s sure not very good at it.”

The 41-year-old also claims that his father is more deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize than Barack Obama, who was awarded it in 2009.

The book claims to reveal all the liberal left wing tricks used “to smear conservatives and push them out of the public square.”

It also sees Mr Trump Jr call George W Bush a ‘loser’ and Robert Mueller a “feeble old fool” for his “crooked investigation” into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The book’s website warns: “Caution! If you'd rather see this country fail than succeed under President Trump, this book might not be for you.”
