Donald Trump accuses Meghan Markle of 'using' Prince Harry

Donald Trump has accused Meghan Markle of "using" Britain's Prince Barry and being "disrespectful" to the Queen.

The former US president made the comments during an interview with GB News' Nigel Farage, saying he has not been "a fan of" Meghan since "day one".

He said: "I'm not a fan of hers. I wasn't from day one. I think Harry has been used horribly and I think someday he will regret it."

He added: "I think Harry's been used and been used terribly.

"I think it's ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen."

Mr Farage asked Mr Trump what he thought of Meghan using Duchess of Sussex headed paper to lobby members of congress.

Mr Trump responded: "She is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate."

He added: "I think she's very disrespectful to the Royal Family and most importantly to the Queen."

During the interview that took place in Florida, Mr Trump described the Queen as "a great woman, such a great person, a historic person".

He also gave his opinion of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the presidential election, the storming of the US Capitol and Black Lives Matter.

He said Mr Johnson was making a "big mistake" by backing "ridiculous" windfarms to drive the UK's push to a net-zero-carbon economy.

Mr Trump said he still liked Mr Johnson but claimed that he was wrong to support renewable wind energy.

The comments came after Mr Johnson backed Britain to become one of the biggest wind energy producers in the world as they aim to reach net zero by 2050.

Mr Trump was adamant that the UK is heading in the wrong direction.

He said: "He's wrong. Boris is wrong if he's going heavy into wind. He's making a big mistake."
