Mikel Arteta has surprised Arsenal fans by dropping Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette from his Arsenal lineup.
Rather than build off the Frenchman's two goals after the winter break with another start, Eddie Nketiah leads the line once more. The 20-year-old started last week against Newcastle but didn't find much luck in front of goal.
Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will flank Nketiah like they did against Newcastle.
The one interesting adjustment in the wide areas, however, is that Gabriel Martinelli has not made the matchday squad. Instead, Reiss Nelson takes his place on the bench despite the Brazilian being fit for selection.
Mesut Ozil returns as the No.10. as Dani Ceballos keeps his place alongside Granit Xhaka at the base of midfield.
With Saka dropping out of the starting lineup - he is on the bench - Sead Kolasinac comes in at left-back. The Bosnian has played well under Arteta since his appointment so there shouldn't be much risk there.
Elsewhere, Hector Bellerin comes in at right-back next to Shkodran Mustafi and David Luiz with Bernd Leno in goal.
With Saka and Lacazette crucial to Arsenal's away win at Olympiacos, Arteta's decisions have brought mixed reactions from fans.
Arsenal head into the game two games off 10th placed Everton with a win taking them three points off fifth.
Having gone unbeaten in 2020, a lot of momentum has been build in the early days of Arteta's tenure as head coach which he addressed ahead of the game.
"Honestly, we feel as a staff that the players are willing and are behind us and want to follow us," he said.
"You try and convince them about what we are trying to do and they are doing every thing they can to always try and execute what we are doing and the energy we have together is good so I am happy.
"The attitude I want the players to play with is to confront the opponent. It does not matter where we play, we have to go there and we have to face them.
"We have to feel that we are ready to go, not just when we have the ball but when we don’t have it as well, with the same attitude and aggression. They are doing it. I can only praise them because they are trying hard - sometimes we can be better or worse but they are very willing."
