England player ratings as Jordan Pickford and Raheem Sterling outstanding in Germany win
Raheem Sterling continued his rich vein of scoring form against Germany with his tap-in 15 minutes to go as Harry Kane added to the scoring in the last five minutes to send England into the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.
The fiercely competitive match saw few chances with Germany having the best chance of the first and early second half through Chelsea duo Timo Werner and Kai Havertz but Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made two superb saves.
It was the first time England knocked out Germany in the knockout stage of a competition since the World Cup in 1966 which the Three Lions won.

After all he is the second-top goalscorer from the 2020/21 Premier League that's involved in Gareth Southgate's squad. In fact, in the entire race for the golden boot last term, the Everton forward finished sixth.
