Dolphins to Release WR Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill’s time in Miami is coming to an end.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins are releasing the star wide receiver, who is set to turn 32 years old on March 1. The move saves the team $22.8 million against the salary cap.

Hill began his career with the Chiefs in 2016 and earned six Pro Bowl nods while helping them win Super Bowl LIV over the 49ers in ‘19. He was then traded to Miami in 2022, where he tallied back-to-back 1,700-plus-yard seasons and led the NFL in receiving yards and touchdowns in '23. Hill is a five-time First-Team All-Pro.

After suffering a dislocated knee and a torn ACL this past September, Hill is reportedly on pace to play in 2026 with a "realistic goal" of starting the season—per his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.

Hill is set to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.
