Dog owner in stitches over photo Amazon driver left as proof of delivery

Missing a parcel delivery is annoying - especially when you've been waiting weeks for its arrival. A man has been left puzzled after checking his Amazon order status to discover it changed from 'out to delivery' to 'delivered' while he was out of the house.

But after looking into it closer, he couldn't help but laugh when seeing his delivery driver had taken a picture of his dog standing alongside his online orders as proof of postage. The driver even updated the delivery information to read: "Delivered to a family member direct".

After sharing the adorable snap on Reddit, one user said: "I hope you tipped him... in pets."

While another user added: "I'd really love to know how they got the dog to sign for the delivery," and a third user said: "I’m imagining the Amazon driver pulling out one of those ink pads and the dog signing the paper with his paw print."

When describing his dog's personality. the owner said: "He is so friendly he might just let a robber in and show him where all the valuables are."

It comes after Paul Conway, 61, bought some sunglasses online but was beaten to the door by his labrador, Mazie, when the courier arrived.

The dog was captured in the proof of delivery photo, peeking her head out the door and looking up at the parcel.

The married dad-of-one said: "It looks as though they are delivering it to my dog. I found it quite funny as all you can see is the dog looking up at the package in courier’s hand."

Paul, who lives with his wife Jane, welcomed eight-year-old Mazie in to their home when she was just a tiny puppy.

Explaining how she isn't quite skilled enough to unlock the door herself, Paul added: "The courier knocked on the door and my wife opened it to receive the package. But she was behind the door still so they just took a photo of our dog."
