Doctor Who filming sees Tardis appear on Welsh coastal path

The filming of Doctor Who series 14 is currently in full swing as brand new stars Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson have been spotted across Wales - with the latest filming captured in south Pembrokeshire. On Monday, Doctor Who's Tardis was seen on the Pembrokeshire coast path as filming continues for the much-loved BBC series.

The latest shoot is currently taking place near Proud Giltar between Penally and Lydstep, as cast, crew, vehicles and the Tardis were spotted setting up in a field earlier this morning. The new series will follow on from a 60th-anniversary special which sees David Tennant and Catherine Tate back on screen once again. You can read more about that special here.

Doctor Who fans have been quick to spot the shooting locations previously in south Wales, including Newport market, Cardiff and Swansea. On Friday, December 16 and Saturday, December 17, fans of the franchise also managed to get some late-night pictures, with filming taking place at the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

The new Doctor and his companion also filmed a video of themselves at a car park at Alexandra Head, by the Barrage. The BBC released offical images of the pair in costume on December 17 with Ncuti wearing a brown suit with a bright orange top.

At the start of this month, a giant, alien-slug-looking creature was seen at the Swansea Bay site, signposted as 'Finetime' - which could potentially be a name of an episode. On Monday, January 9, Millie Gibson - as Ruby Sunday - joined by Jemma Redgrave - who is returning as Kate Stewart - were seen filming in Newport. Shoot locations included Newport Market, High Street and the Westgate Hotel.

The first episode of Doctor Who starring Ncuti will air during the festive period next year after the Doctor Who 60th anniversary specials - starring David Tennant as the fourteenth Doctor and Catherine Tate returning as Donna Noble - in November 2023.
