It's not quite a championship-winning bike, but how do you feel about potentially owning the 2019 second-place MotoGP world championship rider Andrea Dovizioso's former race Ducati? If that's a dream of yours, then you'll want to read on, because if you have an awful lot of money burning a hole in your pocket, that dream could potentially come true very soon.
Why? The 2025 Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show, taking place in the UK on November 9, will see Dovi's GP19 cross the auction block. Better still, Iconic says it's in running order and was purchased directly from the Ducati Corse factory in Bologna.
It is, of course, unregistered in the UK, though import taxes have been paid. It would be up to the new owner if they chose to register it.
It comes complete with a signed Certificate of Authenticity that bears the signature of none other than Ducati Corse sporting director Paolo Ciabatti. You probably don't need me to tell you what an incredibly cool piece of MotoGP history this is, both for Ducati and for Dovi fans. And if you're both, so much the better for you!
Now for the bad news, and you already knew it wasn't going to be cheap.

Iconic estimates that this bike should go for somewhere between £500,000 and £700,000, which works out to about US $672,072 and $940,901. Also, that's not counting the established buyer's premium on top of the sale price, which is 15% of whatever it goes for, plus the UK's value-added tax (VAT).
If you're interested in this or any other bike in the upcoming Iconic Motorcycle Sale, you should head over to their website to find out how to become a registered bidder. Since it's just the beginning of October now, you have some time to complete the process before this event.
