Do you recognise them? Police launch CCTV appeal following attack on Edinburgh train

British Transport Police have launched a CCTV images following an attack and robbery on an Edinburgh train.

The incident happened on a train between between Edinburgh and Inverkeithing, in Fife, at around 11.45pm on Saturday 10 August.

Officers are now looking to trace the man and woman in the images, who they believe may have information that can assist with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises them is asked to call BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 653 of 10/08/19.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Police in Edinburgh are also appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Niddrie, where a knife-wielding thug threatened a shopkeeper in what has been described as a "frightening ordeal".
