Novak Djokovic booked his place in the Wimbledon final with a straight-sets win over Jannik Sinner, and it is now time to find out whether it will be Carlos Alcaraz or Daniil Medvedev joining him on Centre Court on Sunday afternoon.
World number one Alcaraz has continued his flying form on grass at SW19, having lifted the title at Queen’s, and he has come through potentially tricky tests against Holger Rune and Matteo Berrettini with flying colours, in just his third main-draw appearance at Wimbledon.
Medvedev had never previously made it beyond the fourth round at these Championships but has his chance to reach the final, having survived a huge scare in the quarter-finals. The third seed was a tie-break away from losing to Christopher Eubanks, but battled back to win in five sets and keep his bid for a first Grand Slam title alive.
