DJ Milky's van 'torched by children who had nothing better to do'

A Birkenhead DJ said he woke up to find his bedroom "glowing orange" after cruel arsonists allegedly torched his van.

DJ Milky said the van he relies on and uses for work was completely ruined after it was burned out on January 15 on Park Road North, in Birkenhead .

The DJ, who also volunteers at Arrowe Park Hospital dressed as Santa for children at Christmas, said he discovered the van on fire at about 12am and was woken by alarms.

He said he had just returned from being on a well-earned holiday with his partner after working right through Christmas.

Speaking to the ECHO , DJ Milky said: "I use it every day, it's really important.

"The police believe it was just children with nothing better to do because there was no fuel or anything like that, it just lit up."

He said officers found a house brick thrown through the van and are investigating.

Merseyside Police have been approached by the ECHO for more information.
