Dixie Chicks postpone release of new album, 'Gaslighter'

It is now official. The Dixie Chicks have postponed the release of their new album, "Gaslighter."

Last month seems like 14 years ago. Back then, we were excited to tell you that the Dixie Chicks were ready to drop their first album in 14 years. The bestselling female group of all time, founded in Dallas in 1989, released the title track from "Gaslighter." They even performed the new song on "Ellen."

The trio was scheduled to release the album on May 1. But that apocalyptic pink photograph of the Chicks now seems prophetic. We hate to tell you this, but the album has been postponed indefinitely. For the time being, you should probably abandon any hope of the group announcing tour dates, too.

Well, at least we got "Gaslighter." And don't forget "Soon You'll Get Better," the Dixie Chicks collaboration with Taylor Swift.
