Division rival showing interest in Bulls’ All-Star trade target

Most of the trade rumors surrounding the Chicago Bulls this season have been about the players they could potentially send out. Zach LaVine has been the hottest name, but even guys like Alex Caruso and Jevon Carter have been thrown around in rumors for the past few months.

However, the Bulls did reportedly show interest in acquiring an All-Star. According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Bulls inquired about a potential LaVine-Dejounte Murray swap with the Atlanta Hawks, though there was never much action past the initial inquiry. But the Bulls aren’t the only team to have shown an interest in Murray. They’re not even the only team in the Central Division.

Per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report, the Milwaukee Bucks could also potentially throw their name in the mix for Murray.

“Milwaukee Bucks are among multiple teams who are registering interest in trading for Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport,” Haynes tweeted.

Milwaukee doesn’t have much draft capital to work with, as they spent most of their picks on two blockbuster trades for All-Star point guards over the past few years – Jrue Holiday and Damian Lillard.

Murray makes roughly $18.2 million this season, meaning the Bucks would also have to find a way to match that salary in a deal. Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton would get them there, but that would gut a large portion of the Bucks’ current depth.

Regardless, there are multiple teams in the Central Division that are interested in Murray, and they are definitely not the only squads bidding for his talent.
