Around 38 companies have fixed Friday as the record date for their respective dividends, effectively making today the last day for interested investors to buy the shares to be eligible for the payments.
Under Sebi's T+1 settlement cycle, investors need to purchase a company’s shares at least one trading day before the record date to ensure the shares are credited to their demat accounts in time, and they become eligible for the corporate action. Accordingly, today is the last opportunity for investors to buy the shares so that they are credited to their accounts by the record date (August 21), making them eligible for the dividend.
LIC Housing Finance dividend
LIC Housing Finance in May had announced a final dividend of Rs 10 per share for its shareholders. Earlier last month, the company fixed August 21 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders set to receive the payment.
The company has declared 27 dividends since June, 2001, and the stock has a dividend yield of 2.01%, according to data on Trendlyne.
Patanjali Foods dividend
Patanjali Foods this month approved its third interim dividend of Rs 1.5 per share for FY26 as well as the first interim dividend of Rs 0.80 per share of FY27, with the record date being fixed on August 21 for both the dividends. The payments will be made on or before September 12, 2026.
The FMCG company has declared 23 dividends since August, 2001 and the stock has a dividend yield of 1.58%.
Hitachi Energy dividend
Hitachi Energy also has fixed Friday as the record date for its dividend worth Rs 8 per share. Jindal Stainless will pay Rs 3 per share while Jindal Steel will pay Rs 2 per share dividend.
AK Capital Services accounts for the highest dividend payout among the stocks turning ex-record date on Friday, declaring a final dividend of Rs 22 per share. It is followed closely by Alfred Herbert (India), which will pay Rs 20 per share, and Vadilal Industries, set to pay an interim dividend of Rs 17 per share.

Meanwhile, GE Vernova T&D India will pay a final dividend of Rs 10 per share. Veljan Denison will pay Rs 8.5 per share and KSE will pay Rs 7.5 per share. Mayur Uniquoters will pay Rs 6 per share, while Savita Oil Technologies will pay a dividend of Rs 5 per share.
Other stocks turning ex-dividend on Friday include Patels Airtemp (Rs 3 per share), Deep Industries (Rs 2.5 per share), DMCC Speciality Chemicals (Rs 2.5 per share), Omax Autos (Rs 2.5 per share), Sahyadri Industries (Rs 2.5 per share), and Surya Roshni (Rs 2.5 per share). Amarjothi Spinning Mills will pay Rs 2.2 per share.
Additionally, eClerx Services, Monarch Networth Capital, and Zen Technologies will each pay Rs 1 per share. Panchsheel Organics will pay Rs 0.8 per share, Sat Kartar Life will pay Rs 0.7 per share, while Shradha AI Technologies, Shradha Realty, and United Drilling Tools will each pay Rs 0.6 per share. Active Infrastructures, Rajapalayam Mills, Royal Arc Electrodes, and Upsurge Investment & Finance will each pay Rs 0.5 per share. Vishnu Chemicals will pay Rs 0.3 per share, Nicco Parks & Resorts will pay Rs 0.25 per share, Qgo Finance will pay Rs 0.15 per share, and Bhatia Communications & Retail (India) will pay an interim dividend of Rs 0.01 per share.
In another major corporate action, Alan Scott Enterprises has fixed August 21 (Friday) as the record date for its rights issue, offering 1 share for every 6 shares held at an issue price of Rs 75 per share. Additionally, Goodluck India has fixed Friday as the record date for its 2:1 bonus issue.
