Diversions in place as two Lanarkshire roads prepare for several days' closures

Two Airdrie roads will shut for several days next month, with diversions in place to keep drivers' journeys as smooth as possible.

Drainage installation will see Blackbog Road shut from November 7-11, between the A73 northbound off-slip and Cullochrigg Road, with the latter road, Millcroft Road, Gain and Shankburn Road, and the B8039 Stirling Road among the alternative routes on offer.

And the town's Mavisbank Street will shut for 11 days from November 8, to 65m from the extended east kerbline of Kipps Avenue, when displayed by signs for works by Scottish Power.

Diverted routes for motorists to use will be McKenna Drive, Park Crescent and Kipps Avenue.
