Hundreds of bikers and dozens of others flocked to a Peak District beauty spot despite a warning to stay away.
One worker described 'disgusting scenes' in Matlock during the first weekend since lockdown restrictions were eased to allow unlimited travel and exercise.
James Smith said he was driving through Matlock to go for a walk with his wife today when they spotted the "crowds", Derbyshire Live reports.
The 27-year-old from Ripley, said: "It is absolutely rammed today, I know we are allowed out and I am out, but this feels a bit different.
"All those people in that place seems a lot, we overheard someone in a garage saying they had come from Liverpool."
Mr Smith said they are "staying away from people" and avoiding the crowds during his walk.
According to Mr Smith, there were around 200 bikes and groups of people sat on benches "three-to-four abreast".
He added: "We are going somewhere quiet for a walk and if people are walking there, we won't go where there are crowds.
"If you are out on a walk and you are in big groups it's not on really."
Mr Smith said he thinks the easing of lockdown regulations needs to be "properly managed" to stop people gathering in groups.
But, he said lockdown can't continue indefinitely "for people's jobs".
He said: "If I was a resident in Matlock I would hate it, it's nice to be out, but you need to be careful."
Residents in the picturesque town of Matlock have asked tourists to "think twice" before visiting.
The chairman of Matlock Bath Parish Council, Peter Baranek, said: "Residents of Matlock Bath are asking anyone thinking of taking a trip to our lovely village to think twice before coming.
"Matlock Bath is still closed, no facilities are open.
"With the relaxation of the guidelines, it is extremely important to remain vigilant and visits to Matlock Bath and the local area could put our residents’ health at risk.
"Our lovely village does not lend itself to socially distancing safely.
"We urge anyone thinking of coming to Matlock Bath to respect and protect our village and the people who live here by staying away for now."
