Callous vandals set fire to a children's play park in broad daylight in Clydebank.
Residents captured the burning inferno minutes after the blaze began just before 7pm on Monday night.
Black plumes of smoke can be seen rising into the sky in the image.
Locals were forced to close their windows as the fire unfolded.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue service attended the park and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes.
It is not clear how much damage the blaze has caused.
Outraged locals described the incident as "terrible" and "disgusting" online as they noted that many local children who use the park would be "gutted".
One person said: "Aw the weans will be gutted that’s shocking man."
Another added: "Omg this is terrible!!! How sad after this wee park just not long built and too a good standard for locals.
"Hope they get caught."
"Absolutely disgusting behaviour," one person commented.
Another said: "How sad the wee yins have been in long enough never mind not being able to go to their local park."
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "We received a call at 6.58pm and we had one pump in attendance.
"We were there for 10 minutes and left at 7.08pm."
