Footage has emerged on social media of Edinburgh BMX riders flirting with danger as part of a disgraceful new TikTok trend, as they come close to colliding with various buses in the city centre.
For unknown reasons, a new 'trend' has emerged on the popular social media app, with riders trying to get as close to an object as they can, before dramatically swerving out of the way.
Now, the BMX enthusiasts of Edinburgh have taken a shine to the viral activity, with one Edinburgh cyclist filmed riding down Princes Street and looking like they're about to run into the back of two buses, before swerving away.

Surprisingly, the video alone has been watched by over 300,000 people, having only been posted four days ago.
The viral trend of pulling a wheelie whilst trying to avoid a collision has recently become popular across the UK, with several other videos of riders swerving a person standing still, also being posted on TikTok.
Although it does seem harmless, the idea of playing daredevil whilst on one of Edinburgh's busiest streets, surrounded by dozens of buses, trams and pedestrians, may not be the best place to practice.
In the video, one sole rider initially comes agonisingly close to running into the back of a Lothian bus, and then takes another shot at pulling the stunt whilst approaching a second.
The video, which also has over 10,000 likes, is simply captioned: "Getting better."
Users in the comments didn't seem too thrilled with the prospect of toying with the idea of getting run down or face-planting into the back of a bus, whilst some, who had obviously tried the trick before, thought it was very entertaining.
