Discretionary Covid-19 support grant scheme launches across northern Lincolnshire

A new scheme to help some small businesses affected by COVID-19 in northern Lincolnshire is now open for applications.

As part of the response to the coronavirus crisis, the Government has announced various grants and loans available to help fund small businesses. The latest is a discretionary fund for local authorities to administer, with £1,587,000 received by North East Lincolnshire and £1,735,000 received in North Lincolnshire.

This additional fund is aimed at certain small businesses who might have fallen outside of the scope of the previous grant fund scheme.

Businesses who have less than 50 employees, with fixed ongoing property costs, that can demonstrate a significant decrease in income due to coronavirus, and have not been able to access the previous business grant schemes are being invited to apply.

For further eligibility criteria and information on the evidence required, businesses are advised to read the guidance and frequently asked questions documents published the local authorities’ websites.

Applications will be accepted for a two week period, closing at midnight on Sunday, June 14 in North East Lincolnshire, and Friday, June 12 in North Lincolnshire, at which point all applications will be assessed on merit and grants awarded.
