Diogo Dalot's role in helping Bruno Fernandes thrive at Man Utd

Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot has reportedly been driving new signing Bruno Fernandes to training every day as the midfielder continues to settle in.

The 25-year-old, who was signed from Sporting Lisbon in January, has had an impressive start to life in England, scoring three times and creating two assists in his first seven games.

He has also been praised for his leadership skills off the pitch, and looks set to become one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side's most important figures.

According to The Times , Fernandes' fellow Portuguese teammate Dalot has been key in helping the player adjust to life in England, and has been giving him a lift from Cheshire to United's training centre in Carrington every day.

He even allegedly brings a packed lunch along with him, and the two have clearly formed a tight bond off the pitch.

Both Fernandes and Dalot could be important this weekend as United look to make it ten games unbeaten when they take on bitter rivals Manchester City .

The Red Devils sit just three points behind fellow top-four challengers Chelsea in the table, and speaking ahead of the game Solskjaer revealed he was making a change to his pre-match preparations.

"There's not going to be any video [session] on Friday or Saturday because we've played them so many times," Solskjaer explained. "I think it helps.

"We want to play. My team is still developing, our team is still developing and you want to play against the best.

"We need to learn and they've been the best the last few seasons. For us it's a great challenge.

"I'm sure we have an element of surprise, that's not an issue. So has he [Pep Guardiola]. Everyone has watched Man City quite a few times and we have to be ready for whatever they throw at us."
